At Road & Competition Engineering Ltd, we specialise in performance and classic car servicing, repair, tuning and performance upgrades. We also carry out motorsport preparation, engine performance modifications and rebuilds as well as a full car restoration service. Our team can carry out work on any vehicle marque. At our workshop in Charlwood, Surrey we can cater for almost any requirements which you may have.

We provide services across Dorking, Crawley, Horley and Reigate but we also offer a collection service for anywhere in the country. Rolling Road

RACE now offer a rolling road service which can be used for many purposes. The rolling road is 2WD equipped with an Eddy brake capable of handling 1250hp and 1475ft/lb at a max speed of 185mph.

Was an absolute pleasure to deal with the team at R.A.C.E, Harry and Jamie were very welcoming and even let me have a nose around the garage. It was full of absolute beauties 😍.

Took my BMW 2002 in to get the webers jetted correctly, it was quick and efficient with several issues being addressed on the spot (throttle linkage and velocity stacks). The change in power delivery was massive and lead to a lot of sideways roundabout action on my way home ❤️

So glad to find RACE after years of trying to source someone to care for my unexotic 1974 Scimitar SE5a. Issues with stalling and not starting when hot were sorted with an electric fuel pump. When, unluckily, that turned out to be faulty, Harry didn’t hesitate in replacing the pump. Excellent service from a knowledgeable and friendly team. Thanks so much!
